Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, Governor of the Eastern region is making preparation towards the celebration of the 49th National Youth Day in the east, and eight commissions were established on January 23 to that effect.

These eight boards with their heads of regional officials have put together measures that will climax other inputs on February 11, 2015. Other efforts, include the commission of gastronomy, the Finance Committee and the communication commission. The latter has been at the heart of the preparation since its establishment, with support provided by CRTV East regional station and radio stations in this region.

This 49th edition will be marked by the great March of support for the soldiers at the front of insurgencies in the far North and East of the country.

This march which will take place on February 7 will also allow Bertoua residents and surrounding areas, to testify to their total support to the head of State, and to encourage our armed forces at the front of the defence of the national territorial integrity.

To the East, this articulation sounds appropriate, especially since this region regularly faces attacks by African rebels, whose attacks are controlled by our valiant soldiers.

This march is open to all, regardless of age group. Population will converge at the military sector N°8 where a wreath will be placed on the grave of soldiers who died at the front.

To conclude, the Governor maintains that this 49th edition of the Festival of youth should be organised so well that it will leave an indelible impression in people's minds.
