A gang of 15 belonging to a network specialised in the production of fake documents and stamps has been neutralised by the national gendarmerie in Yaounde.
At the time of arrest, the gang was in possession of various official documents and fake certificates of the Ministries of Secondary and Higher Education, transcripts of various states and private Universities, letterheads of non-conviction certificates as well as many other frequently needed documents.
The incursion was made on Friday 31st October 2014 ironically at the vicinity of the court in Yaounde.
The gang headed by Ondoa Maurice was also specialized in the production of fake stamps and various administrative documents including GCE, Probatoire and Baccalaureat certificates.
Captain Bobda of the Central Service of Judicial research of the National Gendarmerie decried the fact that some Cameroonians are still naïve in believing in thieves like those in captivity.
The network of this group is operating in Yaounde, Douala and Ekona.
