The new SDO for Manyu equally has the duty to supervise the construction of the long awaited 150-Kilometre Kumba - Mamfe road already announced by the Minister of Public Works to begin in 2013.

He will also have to facilitate decentralization, ensure proper execution of public investment project and cultivate harmony and peace among the population.
