New Supreme Court heads resume work

The first president and the Attorney general were welcomed on Friday during the hearing which also saw the installation of new members. "The President of the judicial Chamber and the president of the administrative Chamber, took their respective places at the headquarters of the supreme court.

Daniel Mekobe Sone, the first President of the High Court appointed by Presidential Decree on 18th December 2014 was officially installed. This took place in the presence of representatives of other State bodies: the president of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji, president of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, the Government led by its leader, Philemon Yang, the president of the economic and social Council, Luc Ayang, members of the diplomatic corps and many other personalities.

Daniel Mekobe Sone was called to continue to work with "objectivity, selflessness and impartiality." The first president of the supreme court made tribute to "two icons" that have left their mark on the life of the High Court: Alexis Dipanda Mouelle and Martin Rissouk à Moulong who occupied until December 18, the functions of the first President of the supreme court and Attorney general at the High Court.

The second phase of the ceremony consisted of swearing by 447 new magistrates recently integrated in the body by Decree of the president of the Republic.
