New Year 2017: Adamawa, Littoral report first babies

According to the head of the Maternity ward of the Ngaoundere Regional Hospital Inna Moussa, the three babies were born by the competent personal of the maternity ward who always display team spirit.

She thanked government for equipping the hospital with upto -date medical equipment.

The three babies born in the hospital were formally welcomed by the Director of the Hospital Mohadou Hassimi. He came with other hospital staff to congratulate the mothers and hand over gifts for the up keep of the babies.

At the Douala Laquintine Hospital, the first baby for 2017 was delivered at exactly 1a.m. The baby, whose birth was accompanied by fireworks, weighed 3.4kg, Height 50 cm.

Yolande Nyamsi, the mother was delighted to see her new baby. She also expressed hopes of leaving the hospital soon, so to rejoin her family especially her two other boys George 5yrs and Gerald -9years.

The head of the maternity ward Rachelle Ngah expressed joy as she welcomed the first baby in 2017 in Douala.
