Staff of the Prime Minister's Office and those of auxiliary services yesterday, January 7, 2013 presented New Year wishes to the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang.
Unlike previous New Year wishes presentation events that also included the award of medals to deserving staff, this year's occasion only concerned wishes to the Head of Government as 2012 National Day medals had earlier been awarded.
The Secretary General in the Prime Minister's Office, Louis Paul Motaze, set the ball rolling for the event as he led the staff of the General Secretariat to shake hands with and wish the Prime Minister, happy New Year 2013. The Director of Cabinet, Ghogomu Paul Mingo came second, leading the delegation of the staff of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister's Office.
Six delegations of auxiliary services to the Prime Minister's Office came after the staff of the cabinet. The delegations included that of the National Communication Council, National Governance Programme, National Road Board, Permanent Secretariat of the Regulation and Competitiveness Board, Permanent Secretariat of the National Decentralisation Board and Public Contracts Regulatory Board. There were also delegations of the Prime Minister's Office Security Staff, Brigade of Reporters and the Protocol. The event that lasted for over an hour, ended with feasting.
