In his appreciation speech, the Minister commended the Northwest Region for playing a very strategic role in the livestock in Cameroon.

He said it was because of their everyday growing anxiety and steam in pastoral agriculture that government is also very determined to avail to the Northwest population livestock facilities and infrastructure.

He challenged the people to prove to government that they need these and more by the way of proper use and protection.

To the in-coming Administrative Director, Michael Mbah Shupong, the Minister said that he had confidence in his very rich academic background.

He promised him his availability and readiness in all dimensions to assist him delivers the goods properly.

To the out-gone North West Administrative Director of CDENO, Daniel Mokom Njawah whom the Minister gave a public embrace, he heartily appreciated him for his exceptional services to the Ministry and government at large.

He said he was leaving indelible footprints in the Ministry. The Minister wished him long life as he goes to rest, so that he could be able to see the fruits of his efforts.

It should be remembered that Daniel Mokom Njawah who hails from Mbeh village in Santa Subdivision had served in that very capacity for 12years before retirement knocked him out.

The Minister hinted that with the construction of the Bamenda-Ekok road these pastoral products would soon greatly attract the international community; reason the government had fallen in love with improving on the livestock standards in this Region.

He told the people to take advantage of that future situation and work harder.

Earlier on in his welcome address, the Government Delegate of the Bamenda City Council boasted that North West was the centre of livestock activities.

He took time to enumerate government favours to the Region and then thanked her for the magnificent varied investments in livestock, fisheries and Animal industries in the North West Region and Bamenda in particular.

He said, he was happy that the government was quite aware that all of Northwest was Pastoral Agriculture. Like Oliver Twist, the Government Delegate prayed government for more rehabilitations and construction of more infrastructures in that domain.
