Repeated attacks of the Islamic sect Boko Haram against the Cameroonian troops were resisted, said Defence Minister regard Alain Mebe Ngo'o who also stated that " the morale of the national defence forces has been remarkable".

The Minister who recently made a tour of inspection in the region, said that "the defence forces are remobilized", a determination that suggests that Cameroon is determined to preserve the inviolability of national borders.

According to the Minister of defence, "wherever we visited, we left the military committed and determined to execute their missions".

Lately, the Cameroonian army has inflicted heavy attacks on Boko Haram with some 30 assailants killed, weapons and vehicles confiscated. Some members of the Islamist sect were taken prisoner against only one Cameroonian soldier who was wounded.

In addition, the Cameroonian authorities have indicated that among hundreds of Nigerian soldiers who crossed the border to flee the progression of Boko Haram, more than 700 soldiers have been repatriated.

Others are still present in Cameroon where they are housed at the public school of Gazawa, pending their repatriation.

Obviously, Cameroon is determined to eradicate the Boko Haram threat, even if everyone is aware that "this war will be neither short nor easy".
