Minister of Finanace Alamine Ousmane Mey received Chinese Ambassador Wei Wenhua for an outreach tour yesterday, April 13, 2015 in Yaoundé.
This marks the first meeting between the Minister of Finance (Minfi) and the People's Republic of China Ambassador to Cameroon.
Wei Wenhua said, "this is to pay Alamine Ousmane Mey a courtesy visit andembark on an outreach. We talked about the long cooperation between China and Cameroon, including previous collaborative results".
We learned that up to the end of 2014, China gave its support to 21 development projects in Cameroon, at a total amount of about $ 3 billion US, roughly $ 860 billion of F.
These were in the energy sectors (dams), infrastructure (port and Highway) communication etc. "In my turn as a new Ambassador, I will multiply initiatives of this kind to strengthen the relationship between our States", concluded the Chinese diplomat.
Its sequel, the Minfi stated that "the People's Republic of China is one of the best economic partners of Cameroon, Ambassador's visit is proof that our country can always rely on this friendly State to achieve the emergence in 2035".
