Issues surrounding the Cameroon Nigeria demarcation has raised a lot of issues on both sides. Recently, one John Owan-Enoh made a very controversial comment on the issue which didn't go down well with many.
The Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) Cross River State Chapter, Hon. Cletus Obun, has described as treasonable comments ascribed to the Surveyor-General of the Federation (SGoF), Professor Peter Nwilo, and Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, John Owan-Enoh, on the controversy surrounding the boundary between Nigeria and Cameroon in the central part of the state.
Obun stated this at the weekend in reaction to separate comments made by Nwilo and Owan-Enoh concerning alleged attempts to cede some communities in the central part of Cross River to Cameroon following the demarcation of boundary commenced earlier this year by the United Nations-Nigeria-Cameroun Mixed Commission.
Nwilo and Owan-Enoh were quoted in separate media reports as saying there was no iota of truth in the allegation that communities in the central part of the state were about being ceded to Cameroon.
