PHP hides facts about Njombe-Penja plantation working conditions

Banana Plantation

A petition debunking the disparaging report of Transparency International Cameroon (ICT) has been published after workers were threatened with dismissal to sign, with the single aim of painting a good picture to the national and international banana market.

It also denounces the various abuses cited in the three years fieldwork report by ICT orchestrated in Njombe-Penja plantations.

This professionally scripted report spared no violations perpetrated by the Cameroon French banana bosses in this locality including poverty, slavery, over-exploitation, pollution etc.

The unwillingness of the PHP leaders to accept their actions prove sufficiently that they are not prepared to improve the conditions of life of the workers of their plantations and residents who manage their investments.

In order to cover its tracts, PHP forces intimidate and threaten to dismiss anyone who refused to sign the petition against Transparency International.
