Ako\Misaje Councillors stand by candidates of hope.

Campaigns ahead of the 2013 Senatorial elections took Prime Minister, Philemon Yang to Nkambe, Donga Mantung Division on April 8, 2013 where it emerged from the corridors of the closed door meeting with Councillors and the CPDM Divisional campaign team that the PM encouraged CPDM supporters, sympathisers and Councillors to continue to stand by and vote Senatorial candidates of the ruling party. Donga Mantung Division features Prof. Jikong Stephen and Ngi Christopher as the Substantive and Alternate candidates for the constituency covering the five Subdivisions of Nkambe, Ndu, Ako, Misaje, and Nwa.

Seventy two hours before the PM's outing in Nkambe, Dr Fuh Calistus Gentry led the CPDM Divisional campaign team to launch campaigns in Nkambe on April 6, 2013 where the opposition party was urged to reason with the CPDM and vote Senatorial candidates of hope for the Division. Elite of Donga Mantung filed out to encourage all to sustain CPDM candidates to win and take the area forward in development. The campaign team later travelled to Ako and Misaje where the fifty Councillors of the special constituency committed to vote the candidates of the CPDM which according to them, impacted most on the development efforts of the area. It emerged from the open campaigns in Ako and Misaje that by voting CPDM candidates the Councillors will be supporting the Head of State and chairman of the ruling party who has so far stood by them.

Convinced that voting against the CPDM candidates will be voting against President Biya, the campaign team leader, Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry told Councillors to vote wisely because victory or defeat at the Senatorial elections will determine their future in eminent legislative and municipal elections. The events in Ako and Misaje also featured traditional rulers who pledged support for the CPDM candidates and appealed to Councillors to vote CPDM because it is the party that has made the sun to shine on the very enclave neighbourhoods of Ako and Misaje.
