The Head of Government of Cameroon will represent this March 30, 2016, Paul Biya, at the inauguration of the new President of Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra.
The Prime Minister of Cameroon arrived in Bangui on Tuesday, March 29. Philemon Yang was deployed in CAR by the President of the Republic to represent him at the inauguration of newly elected President of CAR, Faustin-Archange Touadéra.
During his visit to Cameroon on March 8, the new Central African President invited his Cameroonian counterpart to his inauguration scheduled on March 30, 2016. The presence of a Cameroonian delegation in CAR in this day of celebration is also an opportunity to emphasize and recall the excellent relations that bind the two nations for a long time.
Relations between Cameroon and the Central African Republic are indeed marked by geographical, historical, economic and cultural factors, which over time have brought peoples and respective institutions to build strong relationships, friendship, cordiality and fraternity. Since the unrest in 2013 after the coup against Bozize, Cameroon hosts to date, many of CAR refugees.
Today President, this former student of the University of Yaounde I, will have as his first project, the restoration of security in his country and the home of his fellow refugees in Cameroon and Chad. Faustin-Archange will also put an emphasis on national reconciliation.
