Philémon Yang received Monday afternoon, the Chadian oil Minister and Ambassador of the United Nations Foundation.

Philémon Yang recently received Djerassem Lei Bemadjiel, Chadian Minister of oil, Mines and energy and a delegation from the United Nations Foundation led by Ambassador John E. Lange. The Chadian Envoy indicated that he carried a sealed envelope from the head of the Government of his country, Kalzeube Payimi Deubet to his Cameroonian counterpart. Mr. Djerassem Bemadjiel nevertheless indicated that the message in there relates to the cooperation between the two countries in the energy field.

The Chadian Envoy welcomed the quality of exchanges in this area. The oil produced in Chad transits through the pipeline between the two countries. He on this note announced the doubling of oil production in his country in the coming year, a move that will result in an increase in revenues for the two countries.

After attending the launch last Friday of the 9th edition of immunization days against poliomyelitis, Ambassador John E. Lange went to review with the Prime Minister the efforts made by the Cameroonian Government to kick this evil outside its national territory.

He was accompanied by a strong delegation including the Secretary of State to the Minister of public health, responsible for the fight against epidemics and pandemics, Alim Hayatou, and the resident representative of the WHO in Cameroon, Charlotte Faty Ndiaye to the occasion.
