The fifth edition of the International Exhibitions for Enterprises, SMEs and Partnership, PROMOTE 2014 has ended after nine days devoted to business at the esplanade of the Yaounde Conference Centre.

Over one thousand two hundred enterprises offering a variety of goods and services to the public were present at the show.

Eight hundred of the 12,000 exhibitors are nationals operating in different sectors. The ten countries of the Economic Community of Central African States brought in goods in either raw or processed forms as if to boast of the economic viability of the region.

Also present were close to 250 foreign businesses exhibiting diverse goods and services carefully selected to respond to the sub region’s economic development aspirations.

Arguably, the most important index of success of the jamboree was the record number of visitors that attended the fair.

A total of 30,000 visitors on Saturday, a day before the end of the nine day event tells of the interest the public expressed.

The first four trade fairs were organized in 2002, 2005, 2008 and 2011.
