The head of State Paul Biya and wife Chantal Biya have returned to the nation's capital following their active participation in the U.S. African leaders’ summit in Washington D.C.
The President and wife were welcomed upon arrival at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport by top government officials led by Senate president Marcel Niat Njifenji.
Before leaving Washington DC President Paul Biya held high profile discussions with the US under secretary for Political Affairs at the US State Department, Wendy Sherman.
Discussions between President Biya and Madam Sherman who was accompanied at the talks by former US ambassador to Cameroon, Robert P. Jackson centred essentially on security and economic issues.
Prior to the discussions with the US State department, President Paul Biya last Thursday granted audience to two UN investors and the head of the IMF/World Bank Evaluation Mission to Cameroon, Mario De Zamarockzi.
