Philip Ngole Ngwese has been maintained as the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife following last Friday’s cabinet shakeup.
Friends, relatives, colleagues and loved ones gathered at the Simbock residence of Philip Ngole Ngwese to congratulate him for having gained the confidence of the Head of State and also to show gratitude to the Head of State for giving him another chance.
At the home of Philip Ngole Ngwese, on Saturday September 3, 2015, the atmosphere was calm. There was no sound of music as a sign of celebration and jubilation but one could see people especially couples making their way into the premises just to have a glimpse of the minister and even hug him.
When Cameroon Tribune reporters got to the venue, they found out that it was not easy to get into the compound as they had thought. They had to go through some security checks at the entrance which is but normal especially with the present insecurity situation in the country.
As they entered into the compound, some people were equally moving out. From the smiles on their faces, one could determine the joy in their hearts as one of their peers has been maintained in government.
One couple, the Adjangs, told CT that their presence was to congratulate the minister and also to give him their support and encouragement. According to them they had to leave after spending long hours so that others may have a chance of seeing the minister.
Minister Philip Ngole Ngwese in a relaxed mood thanked the Head of State, His Excellency President Paul Biya, for renewing his confidence in him. He said maintaining him in government is a new challenge to perform even better and promised that he will be devoted to his work for the service of the nation.
