The Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo has granted audience to the visiting La Francophonie Secretary General, Michaelle Jean this 14th April 2015. The audience was followed by a working session.
During the tete-a-tete, both parties discussed relations between the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX) and La Francophonie.
After the audience, Michaelle Jean and her delegation took part in a working session with a Cameroonian delegation made up of Ministers and officials concerned with La Francophonie.
Discussions during the working session were centred on improving on cooperation ties between Cameroon and La Francophonie in order to accrue multilateral benefits for both parties.
The Francophonie S.G. explained that the working session with Cameroonian officials will enable her organisation identify possible sectors for cooperation and the establishment of projects.
The Minister of External Relations, satisfied with the timely visit of Michaelle Jean reiterated that Cameroon’s relations with La Francophonie cuts across so many sectors. In this light, improving on cooperation with the organisation will pave the way to rapid development in the country.
