The Centre Regional Delegation for National Security has been equipped with modern automobile equipment.

The equipment comprising 32 vehicles, 40 motorcycles and 153 bicycles were officially handed over to heads of police units and services by the Governor of the Centre Region, Joseph Otto Wilson, recently.

Speaking at the occasion, Otto Wilson said he had the conviction that with the new equipment, the police will be more efficient and their services improved.

Otto Wilson expressed hope that the equipment will strengthen the fight against the high crime wave in the region.

The donation is in line with the instructions of the Head of State implemented by the Delegate General for National Security, Martin Mbarga Nguele, to facilitate the working conditions of his collaborators and modernise the police force.

The Centre Regional Delegate for National Security, Foh Soua Martin Claude, called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment as they carry out their task in order to ensure the security of lives and property.

The new equipment aims at rendering the police units more operational and to better strengthen the security of people and their properties.

It is expected to improve efficiency of police units and services on the field and render proximity police more effective.
