Political Leaders meet in North and Adamawa regions

Leaders of political parties in these regions came together this weekend to talk on the cross-border insecurity of these regions.

Leaders of the UNDP, the CPDM and CSF, recently met to discuss how they can contribute to the country’s fight against Boko Haram.

Bello Bouba Maigari, Issa Tchiroma Bakari and His Majesty Aboubakary Abdoulaye recreated the strong image.

The meeting took place at the amphitheatre of the faunas Garoua School, which served as a framework for interregional meeting this Saturday, May 31, 2014, in favour of peace and security.

Ministers, senators, senior officials of the public administration and other government officials have responded overwhelmingly to the call.

It is a common way to support the involvement of Cameroon against the Islamic sect Boko Haram.

A typical anti-Boko Haram strategy has been established. Among others, citizens of Adamawa and North agree to track and report to their last entrenchments any possible accomplice of the Islamic group.

The participants at Garoua have also committed to increasing awareness in the hinterland.

"It is our responsibility to defend our territorial integrity, we do not accept that. These forces of evil will be fought, “said Haman Moussa, a traditional leader in the North.

The similar commitment is made in Ngaoundere during yesterday's meeting about the local elite and the Governor Abakar Ahamat. It was in the meeting room of the urban community Ngaoundere.

Beyond the ongoing redeployment of security forces on the border with Nigeria and the Central African Republic, a permanent committee to fight against insecurity will work with the authorities.

It shall also be responsible for ensuring the continuous monitoring and notify the competent authorities of any suspicious presence on the national territory.
