Praise-singers storm Promote fair

The ongoing business fair in Yaounde has drawn people of all walks of life to the show village with each having a specific objective of braving the scorching sun up and down the slopes of the Conference Centre.

While some are there to discover what the stands have, others seek to take home one item or the other to spice their end-of-year feasts. But there are also some who are using their voices to dance some bank notes out of the pockets of visitors and visitors.

These are the praise-singers whose drumbeats leave no one indifferent. They move from stand to stand, telling the story of either the company or its senior official, insisting on how the company or the official is indispensable for the country. This entertains exhibitors and visitors and in most cases attracts money from venerated ones.
