The Head of State yesterday November 27 at the Unity Palace presided at the Second Council of Ministers since the start of his current term.

Thirty minutes were enough for the Head of State President Paul Biya to give out instructions to the members of government at yesterday's Council of Ministers' meeting at the State House. It was the second meeting since President Biya took office for his second seven-year term last year. As usual, everything took place behind closed doors in the Council of Ministers' Hall at the third floor of the Unity Palace.

"We discussed government work and listened to the instructions of the Head of State. As usual he advised us and gave us strict instructions and we are left to carry them out."This declaration of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang to reporters was the least that filtered out of the meeting. But from every indication the atmosphere was relaxed and free of tension. "The atmosphere was very good because the Head of State likes his government. He knows that it is not perfect but he enjoys talking to the government and telling her what should be done and how it should work", PM Yang said.

Without very much dwelling on the content of the instructions the Head of state gave to the government, one thing was clear; that the meeting took place at the moment the country is forging ahead to implement to implement the President's Greater Ambition; policy in a manner as to attain its lofty goal of an emerging nation by the year 2035. As the PM himself indicated to reporters, ministers will worker harder than before taking into account the fact that Cameroon is not yet in paradise.

The meeting which started at 11 AM and ended thirty minutes later, witnessed the arrival of members of government as early as 10:10am.
