On the sidelines of the summit of the Peace and Security Council of the Economic Community of Central African States in Yaounde, ECCAS the Chadian Head of State, Idriss Deby Itno visited wounded Chadian soldiers responding to treatment at the Yaoundé Military Hospital.
The Chadian leader encouraged the soldiers who battled and put their lives on the line to protect the sub-region in the face of the insurgency by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
President Idriss Deby Itno also expressed sympathy to the families of the wounded soldiers and those who lost their lives on the battlefield.
The visit comes at a time when Chad and Cameroon have pledged to increase the number of troops on the field to kick-out the terrorist sect.
The entire sub-region has also declared war against Boko Haram with a strong declaration, “if Cameroon or Chad is attacked the entire sub-region has been attacked”.
