President Paul Biya Invited To Gabon

President Ali Bongo Ondimba of Gabon has invited President Paul Biya of Cameroon to attend two international events slated for Gabon in June 2013.

"I am here in my capacity as the special envoy of the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba to convey a message of the invitation addressed to President Paul Biya to participate in special events in Gabon," the special envoy who is Gabon's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Francophonie, Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet told reporters after an audience with Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang on May 4, 2013 night at the Star Building. "The first one is the meeting of the New York Forum Africa and the second one is the summit of our economic region," he explained.

The New York Forum Africa whose second edition will take place in Libreville, Gabon from June 14 to 16, 2013 is an annual come together of all generations of decision-makers and experts called upon to collaborate to ensure an emerging, winning, innovative, prosperous, autonomous and stable Africa that will play a frontline role in the new world economic order.

The Gabonese envoy said the presence of President Paul Biya in the meetings will "be very helpful in view to enhance first of all bilateral relations between Gabon and Cameroon, and secondly to achieve progress in important issues concerning sub-regional integration." Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet lauded excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and stated the determination of Gabon to further consolidate them.
