President Paul Biya and wife Chantal Biya have extended their condolences to the family of the seven year old boy who was killed in an accident by the motorcade of the US Diplomat, Samantha Power on her way to the refugee camp in the Far North Region.
The message of condolence was extended this Friday, April 22, 2016, by Far North Governor Midjiyawa Bakari who travelled to Moukom to meet the bereaved family.
He also handed some financial assistance to the family on behalf of Presidential couple.
The Governor was accompanied by the Senior Divisional officer for the Mayo Tsanaga Division.
The seven year old was hit on his way to school on Monday 18th April 2016. He was treated immediately by the medical team attached to the convoy, and then transported to the hospital where he later died.
He was the sixth son in the family of seven.
The Diplomat, Samantha Power on her part earlier expressed her sincere regrets immediately after the accident; met with the boy’s family in person to offer her condolences.
