Prime Minister Philemon Yang visits Promote Fair

The Prime Minister, Head of Government Philemon Yang was special guest at the 2014 International Fair for enterprises, dubbed Promote currently taking place in Yaounde.

He was accompanied to the fair ground by the Minister of Trade, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana.

The Head of Government visited several stands and encouraged the exhibitors.

He made brief stops at the pavilion of the United States and the stand of the Ministry of Finance occupied by General department of Taxation and a number of banks.

He also visited the stands of SONARA, CDE and Camwater which has just inaugurated a new water treatment plant in Douala with a capacity of 100 000 m3/day. The PM instructed the Camwater official to put in place efficient measures to rationally distribute potable water.

At the exhibition area of the Investment Promotion Agency, Prime Minister Yang saluted the head of the structure Marthe Angeline Minja for measures put in place to attract foreign investors in the country. Foreign exhibitors seize to opportunity in invite the PM to their stands.

After crisscrossing the different stands the Head of Government faced to press. He described the fair as a success, citing imposing structures which are distinct innovations from previous editions.

He said promote gives an opportunity to have a precise idea of Cameroon’s economy and sector that need supplementary effort. He said Cameroon offers valuable investment opportunities.
