The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang has granted audience to the visiting Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdoulaye Diop.
The audience took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Yaounde this 9th September 2015.
The Malian Minister who came to Yaounde to sign a convention that requires visas for journeys between Mali and Cameroon, was at the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss this and other ways of strengthening bilateral relations between Cameroon and Mali.
During the audience, Minister Abdoulaye Diop explained that his visit to Cameroon was in line with plans to renegotiate on the 1964 convention which earlier on allowed Malians to enter Cameroon without a visa and vice-versa. The Malian Minister said that the new convention signed on 8th September 2015 requires a visa for any movement to either countries.
Prime Minister Philemon Yang and Minister Abdoulaye Diop also used the audience to salute the excellent cooperation ties existing between both countries.
