The National Collective Bargaining Agreement was signed in Yaounde yesterday December 10, 2013.
Workers in the public the building construction companies in Cameroon will henceforth have better salaries and improved working conditions. This is the outcome of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement of building construction enterprises of public works and annex activities that was signed in Yaounde yesterday December 10, 2013.
Speaking during the occasion, the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Gregroire Owona expressed the wish that the terms of the collective bargaining agreement will be implemented with immediate effect. He also reminded the employers and workers that the collection bargaining agreement has the force of the law and thus must immediately and obligatory applicable by all the signatories for the good of all.
According to the terms of the agreement the collective bargaining agreement of the building construction enterprises of public works and annex workers will benefit among other things increase in salaries for all categories. The salary increase in building construction, public works and annex activities have realised an increase of five percent.
The salary increase automatically includes a substantial revalorisation of diverse indemnities and allowances for their percentage rate had increased during the recent salaries. It equally gives place for an increase in absolute value of daily transport indemnity from FCFA 500 to FCFA 800.The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Public Works, Patrice Amba Sala.
