The fourth edition of Batimaide, devoted to housing opened at the House of the party in Bonanjo, Douala on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, to end on April 23, 2015.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Marie Rose Dibong, Secretary of State to the Minister of urban development and housing (Minduh) in charge of the housing.

After visiting about ten stands at the event, the representative of the Government welcomed the innovations presented by the exhibitors before making recommendations to improve the quality of the housing in Cameroon.

"We are there for housing. They called stakeholders to mobilize to revolutionize the housing in the housing sector in Cameroon. "It is imperative that everyone is involved, it is necessary that each of the actors get involved so that we may make something unique. For instance, a pilot where all stakeholders are involved".

"But today, everyone works and suddenly, one has the impression that something is missing while everything is available. There is a problem of coordination hence everyone wants to do everything", said the Secretary of State who promised the support of the Government.

According to Gaston Nemadeu of the team of the Organizing Committee, the objective of Batimaide is precisely to help Cameroonians to better build. We meet all those who have a potential solution in terms of hardware to offer solutions.

The least expensive does not mean something of poor quality. This is a high quality material that could allow one to build at a low-cost", he said.

In addition, "the scientific component was specially developed so that during this show, themes can help you arrive at a recommendation by the public authorities on what to do to provided adequate housing infrastructure at an affordable cost to Cameroonians" said the Organizing Committee.
