The first semi-annual conference of the heads of administrative units was opened Wednesday September 18, 2014 after three months of delay.

The first semi-annual conference of the governors took place in Yaounde on the topic:"Administrative authority, sedentary challenges, current medical risks and implementation of the structuring projects".

The people are on the alert particularly in the septentrional areas where, the Islamist sect Boko Haram seems to prevail with acuity which has as consequences the slowdown in economic activity, massive displacements of the populations and the charges of complicity.

There is also the area of the rising sun shaken by the Central African crisis and the Ebola virus which pushed the authorities of Yaounde to initially close the borders with the neighbour, Nigeria and more largely to stop the movements of the people with the countries where the virus prevails.

Despite everything and the assurances of the authorities, the people live in fear since even political leaders have been the subject of threats of all kinds as evident in the cases of Sosthène Fouda whose house and vehicle were vandalized, Aboubakar Sidiki, and the business man Guerandi Mbara.
