Gendarmerie officers of the road safety task force have attested that a majority of road users are beginning to comply with the prescriptions of the high way code.
The declaration was made in Akak on the Yaounde - Bafia highway during a control surveillance repression road safety campaign.

For those with overloaded passengers or goods, they pay a fine and the extra load is removed, the commander of the Bravo Detachment of the road safety task force explained.
He added that the number of road offences has dropped signalling a positive change in attitude for most commuters.
