Party chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi, said he was scandalised at the level of conscience-buying during parliamentary and councillorship primaries. At press time, the Investiture Committee of the opposition, SDF party was on day two of work to endorse candidates for the September 30, 2013 legislative and municipal elections. The Investiture Committee took the cue from the National Executive Committee (NEC), of the party in Chairman Fru Ndi's Ntarinkon residence on July 9, 2013 which assembled results and evaluated the conduct of the primaries across the nation.

It is the role of the Investiture Committee to screen and endorse candidates that can help matters in the party's endeavors to regain lost territory and emerge victorious during the legislative and municipal elections. The committee features members of the National Advisory Council (NAC) and Senators like party Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi, Aloysius Tebo, Joseph Atekwana, Hon. Mbah Ndam, Prof. Lucas Tandap, etc.

The SDF is turning full circle to emerge victorious at the September 30 elections and the North West Chairman, Hon. Njong Evaristus has been very vocal about the need for solid candidates, developers, committed and loyal faithful, men and women of integrity, people who have the feelings of the common people and people who can defend the platform of social democracy.

Away from that, the National Communications Secretary, Beatrice Anembom Munjo told Cameroon Tribune that curtains dropped on the July 9th NEC meeting with Chairman , Fru Ndi scandalized at influence peddling and the massive use of money during the party's primaries. It is against this backdrop that Ni John Fru Ndi said only the best candidates will be endorsed for the September 30 elections and not those who claim special relationships with the party's chairman.
