The Social Democratic Front (SDF) Electoral District of Mbengwi particularly Momo East have been considering the dismissal of the former Alternate member of Parliament for the parliamentary constituency from the party.

The deliberation began during a district meeting on Saturday, October 10, 2015.

Ambo Juliene, popularly called Ni Ambo and a teacher by profession, who was Alternate Member of Parliament to the immediate past Parliamentarian for Momo East Hon Peter Cho Fonso has been accused of anti-party activities.

According to a submission from the SDF Mile 18 ward during the October 10, 2015, district meeting in Mbengwi, Ni Ambo was charged for anti-party publications on the social media site Facebook. In the presence of a Shadow Cabinet Minister the party, went back to Ambo’s history presenting him as a critique of the party as far back as his University days.

Given five minutes to defend himself before the district, Ambo submitted that his worries were on the use of Micro project grants by the current Member of Parliament for the constituency, Hon Edena Mbah. According to Ni Ambo the parliamentarian can only account for a million in her two years as MP. Ambo questioned why she has refused to work with a micro project committee like other Members of Parliament in the party, citing Hon Fobi Nchinda of Bamenda-Bali.

Without any regrets to his position, Ambo described his dismissal from the mile 18 ward of the party as organised by those guilty of the misuse of the micro project grants. Hon Edena in reply told the District that she was executing her plans from laid down principles by the party.

As busy as Hon Edena was that day, she spoke to HILLTOPVOICES. Contacted by phone on Monday, Hon Edena said that Ambo was guilty of many other anti-party activities and maintained that she was her grants after party ethics.

Our reporter, however, asked her to send a list of realized projects in the last two years with the FCFA 16million collected from the National Assembly which has still not been received.
