SDF NEC prepares 25th anniversary

The celebration is to take place on May 25, 2015.

The opposition Social Democratic Front party (SDF) will be 25 on May 26, 2015 and its National Executive Committee (NEC) session of April 17, 2015 focused deliberations towards hitch –free celebrations.

It was against this backdrop that party Chairman; Ni John Fru Ndi challenged NEC members to make solid contributions towards the event. The session at Fru Ndi’s Ntarinkon residence featured committee reports on the state of preparedness.

The General Coordinator of the jubilee event, Hon Awudu Mbaya told CT, that the anniversary will revive and revisit the history of Cameroon through conferences and debates on topical issues. It will also feature cultural and sporting activities, special publications, grand march past and a special message charting the way forward after 25 years.

Away from Hon, Awudu Mbaya, the Committee head for Documentation and Publications; Hon. Joseph Mbah Ndam told CT that the SDF will be celebrating contributions towards the edification of a limping Cameroon while forging a new impetus for action.

Hon. Mbah Ndam and Awudu Mbaya acknowledge that SDF’s struggle to propel Cameroon to a bright democratic future has been long with some faithfuls in the process falling apart. The anniversary event will offer a moment for a clarion call to reunite for actions with Prof. Paul Nkwi leading the peace and reconciliation committee towards the jubilee.

Opening the NEC session, Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi announced his departure to the U.S to receive an ‘Africa Focus’ “Life Time Peace Award” for contributions towards preserving peace in Cameroon. The event is scheduled for April 25, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
