After a report by "Le Jour" which cast a slur on Indomitables Lions Captain Samuel Eto'o saying he was arrested and interrogated for hours by DGSN which subsequently led to the confiscation of his passport.

This report was picked up by the media despite denial by Samuel Eto'o due to the insistance of Le Jours that the incident happened.

Samuel Eto'o has written a letter to the newspaper accusing them of telling lies to sell their paper. He questioned their ethics of journalism which he believed upheld the principle of crosschecking reports from all sides before publishing.

In this letter Samuel Eto'o wanted to reveal the truth and to expose Le Jour for publishing falsehood about him to destroy his image.
