Sasse villagers contest imposition of a Chief in the village

Villagers of Sasse on Wednesday, Stormed the S.D.O. for Fako's office protesting against the administration imposing a chief on them.

The angry villagers accused the D.O. for Buea, Mr Kouam Wokam Paul, for designating a man whom the villagers consider has a non-chief lineage to ascend the chieftaincy position of that village.

They called on the S.D.O. to revisit the decision and solicited fresh consultative talks so as the designate the right person to the throne.

But the S.D.O. for Fako, Zang III, gave a deaf ear to their claims and warned them from protesting against administrative decision.

While sending them away, the S.D.O promised to station surveillance forces around the Sasse area to arrest any villager who wants to destabilize the peace and serenity of that village.
