The Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation has organized a two day Scientific Forum in Yaoundé to make public research findings.

The Scientific Forum also seeks to quantify scientific research and innovation as a developmental drive for Cameroon. The results of research findings and other innovative works will be exhibited during the forum at the Yaoundé Conference Centre.

The forum is an occasion for Researchers and experts to make an appraisal of the challenges and prospects of Scientific Research and Innovation in Cameroon.

Prior to the start of the scientific forum, Professor Peter Ndifon, Technical Adviser no.1 at the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation, said the Ministry is charged with the implementation of government’s policy in the domain of Scientific Research and Innovation which are essential elements for the development of Cameroon.

During discussions the eight Research Institutions placed under the tutelage of the Ministry and researchers will exchange notes on the problems facing research after 50 years in Cameroon.

By the end of this annual scientific forum, results of research in the domain of Human and Social Sciences must have been examined and a balance sheet on the hydrological research findings drafted
