Staff and partners presented New Year wishes to the Minister of Secondary Education on Tuesday January 26, 2016.

The Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngalle Bibehe, received best wishes for 2016 from the staff as well as partners of his ministry on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Yaounde. The ceremony was an opportunity to revisit the activities of last year and plan for the New Year.

Speaking at the occasion, the Secretary General in the Ministry of Secondary Education, Professor Ivo Leke Tambo, gave an exhaustive balance sheet of activities in 2015. On his part, Minister Jean Ernest Masséna Ngalle Bibehe, outlined the projects of his ministry for 2016. These include enhancing access to secondary education, improving the quality of education and school life and the intensification of the professionalisation and optimisation of training.

In this light, priority will be given to the putting in place of Professional Government High Schools and development of fields of studies in the domain through the completion of construction work at the Yabassi Agric School, launching of the construction of Government Technical High School Nsam, Government Technical High School Maroua and the completion of architectural studies for the Government Technical High School for Building and public Works in Ekounou.

The minister handed over ten pick up vehicles to the ten regional delegates to facilitate their movement and that of officials in charge of pedagogic inspections. National and labour medals were awarded to workers and some teachers were received the academic palm.
