Marcel Niat Njifenji
Senate President, Marcel Niat Njifenji has received in two separate audiences, the Ambassador of Germany to Cameroon, Holger Mahnicke and the new Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon, Kunio Okamura.
The audiences took place on Wednesday 9th September 2015 in Yaounde.
During the audience with the German Diplomat, discussions centred on reinforcing bilateral relations between Cameroon and Germany especially in the economic milieu.
Speaking to the Press, the German Ambassador indicated the need to strengthen relations between the German Parliament-Bundestag and the Cameroonian Senate.
H.E. Holger Mahnicke also recommended exchange visits between members of both parliaments so as to promote Cameroon’s economic riches on the international scene.
During the second audience, Senator Marcel Niat Njifenji and the Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon discussed the activities of the Japanese in the country.
H.E. Kunio Okamura who had visited the Senate President about two months ago when he began his diplomatic mission in the country, expressed satisfaction with cooperation ties between Cameroon and Japan especially in the public works sector. The Japanese, he explained, are involved in the educational, agricultural and construction sectors.
The Japanese Diplomat told pressmen that he will encourage the Japanese private sector to continue participating in Cameroon’s emergence.
