Senate president receives CAR Ambassador

Marcel Niat Njifenji met CAR Ambassador, Martial Beti-Marace on Thursday in Yaounde. The hearing granted to the new Ambassador of the Central African Republic (CAR) in Cameroon, by the president of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji, lasted about 40 minutes.

Asked at the end of the cabinet on the content of their Exchange, Martial Beti-Marace told the press after presenting his letters of credence to the president of the Republic, Paul Biya, on September 19, "it necessary sometimes that I come and tap from the source of wisdom which embodies the Cameroonian Senate and also, the blessings of the elders in the country”.

Security issues related to the crisis affecting his country were also discussed. In connection with this, the Central African diplomat indicated that "without security, we will not be able to think of our nation’s full and integrated development and the situation on the border is alarming."

Therefore, he believes that the authorities of the two countries shall consult regularly to have a common opinion and if necessary, define strategies and tactics to overcome this endemic crisis.
