Senate President, Marcel Niat Njifenji has granted audience to two envoys from the American Hospital of Paris.

The Director of International Development at the hospital, Pamelo Garriado and the Head of Partnerships, Deborah Peixoto were received by Senator Marcel Niat Njifenji this 18th March 2015.

Discussions during the audience centred on cooperation between the Senate and the American Hospital of Paris.

The Secretary General of the Senate, Michel Meva’a Meboutou and his assistant, Bernard Wongolo were present during the meeting at the Senate.

The American Hospital of Paris was founded in 1906 and is a private, not-for-profit hospital. It is located in Neuilly-sur-Seine in Paris, France.

In March 1918, the French government classified the hospital as “an institution of public benefit” due to the services it rendered to France during the First World War.

The American Hospital has no shareholders and receives no funding from the French or American governments. It is however well-equipped and provides world-class medical and surgical care.
