Senate to mobilize against Boko Haram soon

The Senate is very concerned about the security situation in the northern regions which is rife with armed gangs. "Thousands of our citizens in the far North have abandoned their villages to seek refuge elsewhere and thus face enormous food difficulties.

This is the reason why I have taken this opportunity to announce that we will soon be on the ground to testify to our countrymen, victims of the atrocities of Boko Haram and other armed groups, as support of the Senate", said Marcel Niat Njifenji, president of the Senate, March 31, 2015, to the Association of women senators of Cameroon (AFSC), a young and dynamic structure gathering 21 senators, led by Senator Delphine Medjo women.

AFSC has just filed its statutes and its rules of procedure in the Senate.

"The association wishes to accompany the office of the Senate to continue the supervision of women voters and voters through lectures, seminars and multifaceted activities," said Delphine Medjo in her introductory word before the president Niat Njifenji who promised support in this sense.
