Settlement Bill for 2012 Examined in Committee

Members of the National Assembly are preparing to examine and adopt the Settlement Bill for the 2012 Financial Year. It concerns the execution of the 2012 State budget that stood at FCFA 2,800 billion.

The Minister of Finance Alamine Ousmane Mey defended the bill in the Committee on Finance and Budget of the National Assembly on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the presence of the Vice Prime Minister, Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Relations with the Assemblies, Amadou Ali. Following the bill, total revenue stood at FCFA 2,715,11,362,685, registering an execution rate of 98.25 per cent compared to projections. Generated revenue stood at FCFA 2,447,910,337,494 representing 88.98 per cent of total budgetary revenue and an execution rate of 106.38 per cent against a projection of FCFA 2,301,000,000,000. Loans and grants amounted to FCFA 303,206,025,191 representing 11.02 per cent of the total budgetary revenue and an execution rate of 60.76 per cent against the projection of FCFA 499,000,000,000.

The Settlement bill present a total expenditure that stood at FCFA 2,724,823,831,702, registering an execution rate of 97.32 per cent compared to initial appropriations. Recurrent expenditure was FCFA 1,692,424,149,396 against a projection of FCFA 1,693,524,815,710 indicating an execution rate of 83.79 per cent. Public investment expenditure was FCFA 782,784, 991,736 against a projection of FCFA 818,875, 184,290 showing an execution rate of 95.59 per cent. Public debt serving stood at FCFA 249,614,690,571 against the projection of FCFA 287,600,000,000 , showing an execution rate of 86.79 per cent. According to the bill, expenditure actually settled was FCFA 2,330,948,036,707. It also indicate a budget surplus of FCFA 26,292,530,983.
