The Minister of Social Affairs, Pauline Irene Nguene, received New Year wishes from the staff and partners and institutions under her ministry on Friday January 29, 2016. The presentation of New Year wishes was an opportunity for the staff to reflect on the activities of last year and plan for the ongoing year.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary General in the Ministry of Social Affairs, Rosalie Aboutou, gave an exhaustive balance sheet of the activities of the ministry in 2015. On her part, Minister Pauline Irene Nguene outlined the priorities of the ministry for 2016.
These include encouraging private partnerships as well as enterprises to be engaged in activities for the care of vulnerable people. At the economic level, give socially vulnerable people the knowledge and aptitudes necessary to enable them carry out income generating activities on the one hand and on the other hand, make accessible financial support in the form of donations or microcredit in view of the realisation of income generating activities and projects in favour of vulnerable people.
At the level of partnership, strengthening of existing structures and solidarity of the State or private sector, improve their organisation, functioning, evaluation and the implementation of activities to ensure coherence and pertinence and also the diversification of protocol agreements and other frameworks of collaboration with the different partners. Labour medals were awarded to some workers of the ministry.
