Mrs Kane née Pauline Honorée Fortune was installed into her new function by Minister Delegate, Mbah Acha Rose on December 24, 2015 in Yaounde.

The new Secretary General of the Supreme State Audit Office, Mrs Kane née Pauline Honorée Fortune, has been implored to use her experience and knowhow to enable the institution consolidate its frontline role in the protection of public funds. While commissioning the Chief Scribe on December 24, 2015 in Yaounde, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit, Mrs Mbah Acha Rose, prescribed clairvoyance and synergy with her colleagues to effectively accomplish her role as coordinator of central services and principal collaborator of the Minister.

Kane Pauline Honorée was appointed by a presidential decree of December 22, 2015 to replace Tonye Paul Emmanuel whose contribution to the performance of the institution was hailed by the Minister Delegate. The latter assured the new Scribe of her support while emphasising that she will not hesitate to call Mrs Kane to order if her actions attracted negative comments on the ministry’s activities. “I advise you to be more rigorous in the conduct of your multiple activities and responsibilities because more attention will be given to both of us because we are women,” the Minister told her new collaborator whom she, however, described as “the right woman in the right place.”

In effect, Kane Pauline Honorée entered the Supreme State Audit Office in 1986, became State Controller in 1997 and State Inspector in 2006. Before her appointment as Secretary General, she was Head of the Division for Inspections and Controls of State-owned corporations and parastatals. Amongst several academic and professional qualifications, she was trained in e-management and fraud detection in the University of Florida in the United States of America. The commissioning ceremony of the married State official and mother of three was massively attended by senior officials of the institution, staff as well as relatives, friends and well-wishers.
