For over two months now, the military court in Yaoundé has been working on the case of the suspected assassins of Luc Honlong, police officer in service at the mobile intervention group N ° 1 Yaounde. He was murdered in cold blood from a shot on the night of April 3, 2012, at his home in district Nlongkak in Yaoundé.

During the bloody operation, the criminals made way with an automatic pistol from the home of the victim, mobile phones and several other valuables.

The investigation at the regional Division of the judicial police of the Centre, in the assassination, has led to the arrest of 18 young people.

The accused, now imprisoned at Kondengui central prison were at the military tribunal Tuesday for the third hearing. The hearing was referred to October 21, for identification of the victims. For the moment the civil party is not yet incorporated in this trial. Some of the accused already have their Council for their defence.

Assiene Aboyoyo, Council of accused, says that clients are being prosecuted for several other offences, like the murder of a notary at the same time in the neighborhood Santa Barbara in Yaoundé.

The same gang led by a certain Francis Onanena is accused of series of armed robberies committed in the city of Yaoundé and its surroundings. Counsel adds that the majority of victims do not know that their trial has begun. It is for this reason that the debates are slow to open.
