The Electoral Code in Section 93 however prescribes principles that must be respected by organisers of campaign rallies. Even if a meeting schedule is absent, the April 19, 2012 Electoral Code that was amended and supplemented on December 21, 2012 spells out in Article (3) of Section 93 that; "In the absence of a meeting schedule, any public meeting organised as part of the election campaign must be declared with the Administrative Authorities and the branches of Election Cameroon at least 24 (twenty four) hours in advance, indicating the time and venue of the meeting."
