A spokesman of the Cameroonian army has made some disturbing revelations in regards to the war against terrorism indicating that the threat of an imminent Boko Haram attack.

Lieutenant Colonel Didier Badjeck was the guest star of the conference on "Media and conflicts cross-border issues in zone CEMAC and security of States", which was held last Wednesday in the Graduate School of Science and Technology of Information and Communication, in Yaoundé.

During his exchange with students, he stressed the "huge success" achieved by the Cameroonian army in its war against the Boko Haram militants, but the Lieutenant did not sugar coat words to the audience about the threat of an imminent “major” terrorist attack.

"It is true that in recent times, the Cameroonian army merely record victories over the Islamist Boko Haram,” he explains. “However, this is not the time to rejoice. Because all the elements in us, makes me think that a big terrorist attack may soon occur in Cameroon.

“I take this opportunity to ask each other to prepare psychologically. So that when the time comes, they continue to support our brave soldiers who are deployed in the field."

Colonel Didier Badjeck also criticized the action of the State in the fight against poverty in some populations of the north. "If young Cameroonians are recruited from Boko Haram it is mainly due to problems of governance," he says. "The investment of its sovereign functions State must take responsibility to limit the level of poverty of the population in the northern region.

Particularly in the area of the "duckbill" regularly plagued by floods.”

Hypocrisy To believe his words, the presence of Cameroonian soldiers in the nebulous terrorist Boko Haram, to date, is more of a secret. "There are Cameroonians in the ranks of Boko Haram. Moreover, during a military operation in which I participated in less than 48 hours ago, we have arrested more than thirty. This is to tell you that Cameroon is seriously infected," reveals one geo-strategist.

Lieutenant Colonel Badjeck was especially denounced the "hypocrisy" of traditional leaders. Elites that the top army officer suspected of "playing a double game." He took the opportunity to beg for a "free" collaboration between people and the forces of defence and security to overcome the Islamist Boko Haram fighters. But also other terrorist groups (Seleka and Antibalaka) operating in the region of East Cameroon. Otherwise, he said, the Cameroonian army will be exceeded.
