The Minister André Mama Fouda made a visit to assess the functioning of this device last Friday. Passengers on a flight from N'Djamena were surprised on Friday at Yaoundé-Nsimalen airport.

Indeed, they went upon their arrival to a room for an Ebola screening . A device was set up for this purpose. A box was placed where all travelers passed, followed by a thermal camera that can record their temperature.

A few meters, a flat screen transcribed data filmed by the thermal imaging camera. Right by this device is a bulletin board with the notice of prototypes of awareness on the Ebola virus. This material was acquired by the Ministry of public health in the context of the prevention of Ebola fever.

Health personnel assigned for this task consists of about 15 people. They are medical police officers and are dressed in white gowns, masks and gloves to avoid contact with the passengers. A room containing two beds was also arranged. André Mama Fouda accompanied by Alim Hayatou, Secretary of State, met for more than an hour with medical personnel on the operation of different devices.

According to Michel Pommeau, Associate Director of digital Eikonos Medical systems, "the thermal imaging camera allows to save the picture of the traveler and have the exact temperature of this person. This allows the avoidance of everyone carrying the Ebola virus from entering the territory."

André Mama Fouda nevertheless wished to clarify that any person of the temperature is not necessarily subject to Ebola fever.
