A minister has made it very clear that operating in a vehicle with tinted windows is an illegal offense of the third degree.
Users who continue to drive vehicles of this nature should therefore be careful because it has not been excluded, given the growing insecurities in cities, that these vehicles will be hunted down because their use is clearly identified as a violation of the law.
The Minister for the Presidency in charge of Defence was responding to questions from the Honourable Jean Gonondo Mayo Sava who also wanted to know why ministers, secretaries of department and other army generals travel very often in vehicles with tinted windows.
The deputy was told there are exemptions in good faith such a precautionary measures to conceal certain public figures.
But the regulation is clear under Decree No. 79/341 of 3 September 1979 Article 75 which indicates that the windows of any vehicle should be made of a transparent substance.
